IKIGAI Moments

Welcome to Week 3 of Your Ikigai Discovery Journey.

Mieko Kamiya developed the idea of IKIGAI as the source of your “reasong for being” and IKIGAI-kan as an IKIGAI-feeling.

She referred directly to the work of Viktor Frankl.

The idea of IKIGAI and IKIGAI-kan are an invitation for us to reflect on our IKIGAI moments in our daily lives.

Take a pen and piece of paper and write them down – now.🙏

There are two ways to use the word “ikigai.” It can refer to the source or object of life’s value, as in “This child is my ikigai,” or it can refer to the mental state of feeling ikigai. The latter is what Viktor Frankl calls the “sense of meaning.”
I will call it “Ikigai-Kan” to distinguish it from the former “Ikigai” itself.
